What is the proper way to do this? I imagine the devs wouldn't make the game yell at me to build more storage facilities if I were doing things correctly. So, if you have no room left in storage for a particular resource, it will not count as currently being mined. This seems like it would take a lot more work going back and forth trying to make sure I have just the right amount of resources. The other way to play would be to build extractors when my resources get low, or try to balance somewhere in the middle. I imagine that my extractors wouldn't mine out all their resources so fast if I were able to pick up the resources on the ground, or actually get credit back for dismantling buildings. There is a big problem with this because I can't pick up any of the resources that get dropped on the ground.
My strategy so far has been to go out and build several resource extractors at once so I don't need to worry about it for a while and to make sure I don't run out. Also, more storage means more land area I need to defend. I have loads of storage from what I can tell. It protects your base by forming massive spikes that can shred pesky alien threats when they come too close. For defenses, you can use the new Morphium Tower. It will mine resources for a short time and will deliver them to your storage automatically.
#THE RIFTBREAKER RESOURCES HOW TO#
And that’s everything you need to know how to get resources in The Riftbreaker. The Mini Miner is another consumable item that can be placed on any ore deposits in the game. It makes me feel like I'm not playing the game correctly. Water: Water Filtering Plant, Liquid Pump. to the outpost, wait for it to fill the storage again, and rift back. Ok so pretty much half the dialog in the game is everyone telling me to build more storage facilities for every resource. So when I leave an outpost at +12 or +16 resource generation, cobalt, uranium etc, when I go back to headquarters, the number of that resource is static and doesn't grow.
